Retired Fighter Profiles
RETIRED Due to Injury March 2011
Medical note: as a consequence of an inability to adhere to dietary guidelines and hard training regimes set by his trainer. Alex found it necessary to use a sauna to sweat and shed weight. Tragically this practice can leave the body severely dehydrated. It was this prolonged practice that exposed Alex to the possibility of concussive damage from repeated direct blows to the head. Alex lost his last two contests by knock out. a result brought on possibly by Alex's self imposed de hydrated pre fight condition.
Alex 'AK47' Abusin
Throughout his ten year fight career. Alex competed between 67kgs and as high as 74kgs, But tragically due to poor discipline and will power typically fought heavier than he might have been best suited at. But undeniably he fought some good opponents and on occasion proved to be a revelation. Though often fell short of his potential.
Alex had a potential that could have taken him to the top. His fitness, and skill were a force to be reckoned with. On his day he could be phenominal. Most top fighters at alex's weight might expect to fight four to five times a year Alex could only manage an average of two fights a year, managing 18 fights in 10yrs of competition.
Alex unfortunately lacked the self respect, individual desire and drive to compete and consequently never achieved the recognition his potential suggested. Although for a brief time he was ranked at number one in the UK.
